Cookie policy

1. In short

This is a static, informational website. There is no member login, no account area, no personalisation and no advertising, so there is very little for it to remember.

By default it keeps exactly one thing, and only after you have chosen: a record of whether you accepted or declined analytics. Until you choose, nothing is written to your device at all.

If you decline, no measurement script is loaded. Not loaded and disabled — never requested. Every page behaves identically either way, and nothing is withheld from a visitor who declines.

2. The one item, described exactly

Technically it is not a cookie: it is written to your browser's local storage. The difference is real but the effect on you is the same, so this policy covers both rather than using the distinction to claim the site sets no cookies.

It is called "cookie-consent" and holds one value, representing your decision. It carries no identifier for you, it is not sent to us when you request a page, and it can only be read by this website in the browser where it was created.

Because it is local storage rather than a cookie it has no expiry of its own. It remains until you clear site data for this domain or remove it through your browser.

3. The calculator does not store anything

The chit calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The chit value, member count, bid and commission you type are used to do arithmetic on the page and are then gone.

Nothing you enter is transmitted to us, saved to your device, or recorded anywhere. Reloading the page returns it to its starting numbers, which is the clearest evidence that nothing was kept.

This is worth stating plainly because a page that asks for figures usually does something with them. This one does not, and if that ever changes, this policy will change first.

4. Analytics, if it is enabled

Where analytics is switched on, it is a privacy-focused measurement script that counts visits and shows which pages are read, in aggregate. It loads only after you accept.

We treat that as your choice rather than a technical necessity, because we do not need it to serve you a page. It would help us decide which of these explanations to expand, and that benefit is ours.

It does not identify you, follow you to other sites or build an advertising profile. There are no advertising cookies here, no remarketing pixels, no social tracking scripts and no visit data shared with anybody.

5. There are no third parties on these pages

No video player, no embedded map, no chat widget, no comment system, no social buttons. Each of those loads code from another company and usually sets its own identifier before you have interacted with anything.

The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font network, so requesting a page does not tell a font service that you visited.

Articles link out to the text of the law and to public registers. Those are ordinary links: once you follow one, that site's own practices apply and ours stop.

6. Removing or changing your choice

Clear site data for sudhinamchits.com in your browser and the consent record goes with it; the banner will appear again on your next visit so you can choose afresh. On most phones this sits behind the padlock or site-information control in the address bar; on a computer, under privacy or site settings.

You can also set your browser to block or clear local storage generally, or to clear it when you close it. Nothing on this site depends on stored data, so blocking it costs you no functionality — the banner simply reappears each visit because the record of your answer has gone.

If you accepted and want to withdraw, clear the record and then reload the page. The analytics script is added at page load, so a reload is what makes sure it is not present.

7. Why a chit company keeps this small

A website about money attracts a particular kind of instinct: measure everything, retarget the people who read the calculator, follow them somewhere else and bring them back. It is technically easy and it is exactly the wrong posture for a business asking people to trust it with an instalment every month for twenty months.

So the decision here was to keep the surface as small as a working site allows. One stored item, no third-party scripts, no tracking of the figures anybody types, and analytics that is off unless somebody actively turns it on. The cost is that we know less about how these pages are used than we could. That seemed a reasonable price.

It has a security dividend as well. Because no third-party script runs on these pages, there is no route by which a compromised advertising or analytics vendor could inject anything into a page where somebody is reading about their money.

8. Keeping this page honest

This describes the site as it stands on the date at its head. If anything is ever added that stores something on your device, this page is updated at the same time and the consent mechanism is extended before it is deployed rather than afterwards.
