What this website is, what the calculator is, and what joining a chit actually commits you to.

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. This website is information, not advice

Everything published on sudhinamchits.com is general information about how chit funds work and about what Sudhinam Chits Private Limited offers. It is written without knowledge of any individual's circumstances and is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

Reading these pages should leave you better able to ask questions. It should not be the basis on which you decide to commit an instalment for the length of a chit. That decision belongs with the chit agreement, with your own circumstances, and where the amounts are significant, with somebody qualified to advise you.

2. The calculator is arithmetic, not a quotation

The calculator on this site multiplies and divides numbers you type in. It shows one period, at one bid, on a chit whose parameters you chose. It is an illustration of the mechanism.

It is not a quotation, an offer, a projection or a promise. It does not know what any real chit's instalment, term, commission or auction rules are, and it cannot know what discount will be bid in any month, because that depends on what the other members need and when.

Nothing it displays should be treated as an expected return. A chit has no rate. The dividend in any period is whatever is left of that period's discount after the foreman's commission, divided among the members, and a period in which nobody bids produces no dividend at all.

  • One period, one bid — not a term projection
  • Your inputs, not any real chit's terms
  • No rate, no yield, no expected return

3. A chit is a commitment, and commitments have downsides

Joining a chit obliges you to pay the instalment for the whole term, whether or not the money is convenient in a particular month. That obligation is the reason the scheme works for the other members, and it is the part that goes wrong when a member chooses a chit larger than they can sustain.

A chit is also a group arrangement. One member's default is felt by the rest, which is why the chit agreement contains a default clause and why membership is not open to everybody who asks. Read that clause before you sign anything, here or anywhere.

Receiving the pot is not guaranteed on any particular date. You receive it when you win the auction or when your turn arrives, and both depend on the other members. If you need a specific amount on a specific date and cannot risk not having it, a chit is not the instrument for that need.

None of this is a reason not to join a chit. It is the set of things a member should have understood before they did.

4. What is stated on this site, and what is not

The figures used throughout — twenty members, twenty months, ₹5,000 a month, a ₹1,00,000 pot, a 25% example bid — are a teaching example used to explain the mechanism. They are not the terms of any particular chit.

The plan range of ₹50,000 to ₹5,00,000, the daily, weekly and monthly payment options, the ₹85 daily starting point, the 2024 establishment and the office hours are statements about the company. Everything else about a specific chit — its value, term, instalment, commission and auction rules — is set in that chit's agreement, and that document prevails over anything written here.

This site publishes no membership numbers, no funds-managed figure, no testimonials, no ratings and no registration or licence claim. Where you need any of those, ask and expect to be shown a document rather than told a number.

5. External links

Articles on this site link to primary sources — the text of the law, and the public filing registers — beside the specific statement they support. Those sites belong to their publishers and may change without notice to us.

A link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the point it supports, and it is not a claim about Sudhinam Chits' own status. Where an article suggests checking a register, the suggestion applies to every chit company including this one.

6. Changes

This disclaimer applies to the website as it stands on the date at its head, and it is revised when the site changes materially.

If anything on these pages appears to conflict with a chit agreement you hold, rely on the agreement and please tell us about the discrepancy at sudhinamchits@gmail.com.
